The Junior Accountant will work on the accounts payable which requires the ability to liaise with other teams i.e. Key Account Managers and Warehouse Team regarding Inventory and Payments. A vast experiences in general ledger month end closing processes. Additionally, this role will be dealing with Suppliers to manipulate the supplier payments and the company cash flow.

Primary Role Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of suppliers’ invoices into the financial system after ensuring that invoices are duly approved and properly matched with supporting documents such as POs, DOs before processing
• To ensure timely month-end closing for AP function monthly account reconciliations and General Ledger (GL) activities.
• To coordinate and timely respond to internal & external queries pertaining to AP matters.
• Perform suppliers’ reconciliations on monthly basis and to ensure no missing invoices
• Prepare payment plan and review weekly / monthly bank reconciliation
• Monitor the cash flow and perform inter-bank transfer to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure all fixed commitment expenses / accruals / prepayments are updated into financial system and perform expense analysis to charge to respective GL coding as per budget for month-end close
• Ensure all JV posted payroll, staff claims or advances, or other payment requests are properly matched with supporting documents for To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by The Management from time to time

Qualifications and Experiences:

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university in a business-related field (Finance or Accounting preferred) plus a minimum of 1-2 years related experience,
• Must have 1 year experience within a Accounts Payable / AP or GL reporting, ideally within the Ecommerce / Marketplaces industry, SAAS and/or others related businesses,
• Familiar with Malaysian and Singapore accounting standards and requirements ie. GST, SST, IRAS, Hasil, other legislations is preferred
• Strong computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired such as NetSuite
