Job purpose

We are seeking an enthusiastic Quality Engineer to join our growing team of technical experts where you will build and deliver our large-scale systems that helps our clients to accelerate their e-commerce business in the Southeast Asia market.

As a part of the software development team, the candidate will focus on improving the quality of the company's products, by applying industry best practices, and expanding the coverage of automated testing. You will work in a modern software development house using modern tools and technologies, using Agile techniques executed in a large scale cloud-hosted environment. We leverage both SQL and No-SQL systems.

A successful candidate will develop and enhance a large-scale micro services system running in a Kubernetes cluster. Candidates should expect to work with other team members on designing and implementing core platform components and leverage the development of good monitoring and observation systems to ensure that a aCommerce delivers high quality technology services

Duties and responsibilities

• Understand user requirements and agreed technical design with the support from other sprint team members
• Participate in solution design discussions while additionally providing a view on quality risk areas
• Provide guidance and feedback on system test scenarios developed by each development team to ensure everything complies with the big picture design and requirements.
• Actively participate in Acceptance test development and requirements validation
• Design effective test cases to ensure that acceptance criteria is met
• Perform User Acceptance Test for all deliverables from vendors on behalf of real users to ensure their quality meet aCommerce standards
• Design and build System Integration Test scenarios, test strategies and test data based on technical design
• Design and build User Acceptance Test scenarios, test strategy and test data based on business requirements, identify key users for each scenario and get stakeholders sign off
• Execute System Integration Test (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) with relevant parties both technical and business representatives
• Effectively maintain up-to-date test scenarios and steps based on changes happen during the project execution
• Develop automated test cases that allow for aCommerce to effectively identify regression issues

Capabilities

• 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance role.
• Experience in testing tools - MockServer, Robot Framework, Postman, Python Virtual Environment, Database Management Tools (such as Robo 3T, pgAdmin, Dbeaver).
• Experience with Automation Testing Tools and Scripts
• Experience in translating User stories / Use Cases into Test Cases
• Ability to communicate in English, both written and oral form
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight timelines, whilst maintaining quality
• Strong detail attention, analytical and problem solving skills
