As a General Manager of Technical Professional Services at the region's leading e-commerce enabler, you will lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) brand store builds and professional services division. This role involves overseeing the delivery of end-to-end E-Commerce solutions for global brands, managing cross-functional teams across pre-sale support, project management, UX/UI design, engineering, and testing functions, while driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction in the fast-moving Southeast Asian e-commerce space.

Job Responsibilities in a nutshell:

In this role, the candidate will drive the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Professional Services department, managing P&L responsibilities while leading multiple functions to deliver world-class e-commerce solutions. The general Manager has responsibility for developing D2C services and solutions while having a dedicated technical delivery team reporting to them. This is a client-facing role where the GM has team members directly interacting with clients and will act as an escalation point while developing the ecosystem of resources required to deliver an ever-expanding client-base.

  • Leadership and execution across pre-sales support, Project Management, UX/UI Design, Engineering, and Testing functions
  • Strategic Growth of the D2C offerings and client base including partnering with sales team to identify and pursue strategic opportunities
  • Supporting country business development and client relationship management. Act as escalation point for critical client issues related to project delivery and ensure timely resolution
  • Develop and manage relationships with 3rd party technical delivery providers to scale the overall capacity of professional services
  • Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of all client projects while maintaining quality standards across all deliverables and client touchpoints.
  • Monitor project profitability and implement margin improvement initiatives
  • Oversee the implementation of complex ecommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, custom API solutions)
  • P&L ownership and financial performance management including the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial targets
  • Identify market opportunities for new service offerings including development of innovative solutions leveraging emerging technologies
  • Team development and organizational scaling


Capabilities

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or e-commerce or comparable domain
  • At least 5 years managing and growing teams
  • Capable of developing a good understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, ecosystems
  • Experience with enterprise clients and complex solution delivery preferred
  • Good financial acumen with budget management
  • As this role is regional in nature, a strong command of written and spoken English & Thai is required.

Technical & Industry Knowledge

  • Good understanding of e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, custom builds) is a plus. The ability to learn is a must.
  • Basic knowledge of web technologies, APIs, integrations, and system architecture
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and project methodologies
  • Experience with digital marketing, omnichannel retail, and marketplace integrations
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asian e-commerce landscape and market dynamics is a plus.
