Can AI truly understand design and turn it into clean, scalable, production-ready code?
We believe it can.
And we’re building the platform to make that vision real.
This is an opportunity for motivated designers to:
- Dive deep into the intersection of design, code, and AI
- Work alongside a team of sharp, kind, and driven people
- Solve real-world design challenges that feed directly into product intelligence
- Learn faster than ever with support, mentorship, and meaningful ownership
- Shape how AI fits into the workflows of the next generation of designers
If you’re passionate about structure and detail, curious about how Figma connects to code, and excited to future-proof your design skills, this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
What You’ll DoThis is not a traditional design role. You won’t be pushing pixels for marketing or crafting brand visuals. Instead, you’ll spend your time:
🧹 Cleaning Up & Structuring Figma Files
Transforming messy or unstructured designs into well-structured, responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
📐 Applying Auto Layout & Constraints Thoughtfully
Using Figma’s layout features to build clean, scalable structures that reflect how real developers build responsive UIs.
🧠 Thinking in Components
Understanding how design decisions affect frontend implementation, especially around nesting, responsiveness, and reusability.
🧪 Designing for the Edge
Creating new design examples that explore complex or rare patterns, like absolute positioning, blended elements, tables, charts, or deeply nested layouts, to improve AI model coverage and robustness.
🏷️ Tagging & Annotating Designs for AI
Labeling design elements (e.g. navbars, buttons, cards, forms) to help our models understand layout intent and semantic structure.
What We’re Building🧩 Design Optimizer
An AI system that spots layout issues and suggests better structure and responsiveness. You’ll help shape this by preparing and refining the design inputs that train our models.
🧠 Auto-Tagging & Responsiveness
Models that detect navbars, tables, and layouts, and generate high-quality code in Tailwind, React, or Flutter.
⚡ Locofy Lightning
One-click code generation from Figma and Penpot to responsive, clean, and production-ready code.
🔍 Design With Depth
You’ll work on real files with real problems and help make AI smarter with every layout you fix.
🚀 Learn by Doing
You’ll go deep on layout systems, component structure, and the real link between design and frontend code.
🧠 Future-Proof Your Skills
You’ll learn how to design for and with AI, developing the kinds of skills that will define the next generation of product designers.
🌍 Drive the Change, Don’t Just React to It
Instead of waiting for the design world to shift around you, you’ll be part of the team shaping the tools and workflows of the future.
📈 Grow Fast, Build Smart
You’ll work on hard problems with a kind, talented team that supports your growth and pushes you to do your best work.
🛠️ Builder-First Culture
We ship, we test, we learn. Then we do it better.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have)- Familiarity with design systems and reusable components
- Experience with responsive design patterns
- Curiosity about frontend code (React, Tailwind, Flutter, etc.)
- Comfort working with visual structures like tables, charts, and grids
- Understanding of accessibility and semantic layout
This is not just a design job. It’s a chance to help shape how design and AI come together to change how software gets built.
