The SME Onboarding Executive will be responsible for onboarding merchants through inbound and partner channels. There will be a heavy emphasis on automation to ensure a seamless process for SMEs to be onboarded to our PayLater solution regionally.

Responsibilities

  • (i) SME Onboarding
  • Conduct SME onboarding by collaborating with operations, product and risk / compliance
  • Provide feedback proactively to the SME team on enhancements to the overall merchant end-to-end experience
  • Work closely with automation and business process teams to define and deliver enhancements to customer flows, from qualification to contract, to post live support
  • ​​Deliver against key metrics of success including time to live and conversion rate
  • (ii) Business Development / Sales
  • Identify high potential SMEs and directly engage on ad-hoc basis; pre-live (keen judgement) and post-live (growth metrics)​​
  • Manage pipeline of inbound leads from enquiry to closing of deals while working closely with external sales agency to ensure outbound leads are also acquired at scale
  • Collaborate with partnership team on campaigns to acquire SMEs (events, EDMs etc.)
  • Deliver against targets by tracking and measuring input / activities (calls, follow-ups, reach outs) on a weekly basis along with corresponding output (increase in revenue)

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in Business Development / Account Management / Sales Operations
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in tech and e-commerce is an advantage
  • Enjoys problem solving
  • Good time management and ability to multitask
  • Patient, ability to listen and understand stakeholder concerns
  • Willingness to learn different facets of the merchant journey such as marketing, sales, operations and retention
