Description
The Principal Solutions Architect II is responsible for performing advanced Solution Architecture and strategy roles on Skedulo opportunities and implementation projects and working with the project team to ensure a successful project delivery where the customer achieves their intended business value outcomes. This will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements, advising around use of core Skedulo Platform / Salesforce, overseeing the successful completion of Proposals/ SOWs and related best practices, perform hands on configuration (not code) of the solution on Skedulo Platform and/or Salesforce, prepare and deliver customer-specific training on how to best utilize the end to end solution, and lead the project team in validating the solution is functional for final deployment. In this role you will be working closely with Product development, Project Managers and Customers to provide consulting advice on how to get the most out of Skedulo Deskless Productivity Cloud. This strategic role will be responsible for complex problem solving through systems thinking.
This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Solution Architecture and works closely with Project Management, Technical Development, Technical Support, Product development and Customer Success teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate prospect and customer workshops to understand business problems and design solutions that will solve these problems.
- Have an in-depth understanding of our Cloud Platform based Product offering with an intention to suggest customizations depending on customer needs. Be able to walk the customer Enterprise/ Technical architecture group through our setup and answer questions
- Create detailed solution and technical architecture diagrams, data models and process maps to support Skedulo Project Delivery of solutions.
- Leverage Skedulo and customer branded assets to design prototypes to enable internal and external stakeholders to envision the software solution and support their understanding of the solution.
- Have one area (Healthcare, Public sector or Field services) as a specialty owning overall knowledge bases and understanding.
- Drive revenue and operational efficiency by designing repeatable extensions for custom implementation projects. Own the extension end to end (from all angles) partnering with different stakeholders in Delivery, Extensions team and Product.
- Create detailed Technical and Functional Documentation, outlining the design and scope of solutions, including diagrams of the proposed solution, data model and integration requirements, for delivery to prospective customers
- Play the role of a first-level reviewer for customer redlines on any Statement of Work Legal documentation.
- Consider all aspects of reusability, maturity of extensions and highlight risks to the deal support group.
- Work closely with Skedulo Product Management to champion customer-requested features while continually supporting the overall theme of making Skedulo the forefront of innovation in the mobile workforce management market. Have a mentality to create a select number of white papers/ thought leadership articles and blog posts outlining the Product (feature) details.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to understand prospect business challenges and demonstrate how Skedulo can maximize their business success. Ensure the client gets what they need and not what they ask.
- Support the Project Delivery team as they execute the build, test, train and deployment of projects when they have architectural questions or the customer changes their requirements. Point for help needed to ensure Non Functional aspects of the project are met.
- Oversee the creation of As-Built technical specifications for custom development and systems integration requirements. Ensure documentation of the final deliverables have latest updates from a Functional and Technical perspective.
- Use Workflow scenarios as examples from the projects delivered and help drive end to end scenarios , asking for the right level of support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related field.
- Must have at least 10 years prior work experience as a Solution Architect in a complex environment; Salesforce Platform experience is highly preferred.
- Must have at least 13-15 years of project delivery experience and significant pre-sales experience leveraging presentation skills and the ability to demonstrate solutions.
- Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience
- A proven ability to learn new products, develop technical knowledge and apply new skills in a high paced environment
- Prior experience working in a strong, teamwork focussed environment
- Excellent knowledge of one cloud technology area: Azure, AWS or GCP
- Good knowledge of web services and integration
- Experience delivering high-quality a design solution in a pre-sales environment
- Security / Permissions Design experience
- Force.com / Sales Cloud / Service Cloud / Visualforce design experience
- Experience delivering High-quality wireframes and mockups.
Additional Qualifications
- This position will require no more than 20% travel from time to time as set forth by the Company.
- Must have a valid US work visa upon hire.
- Must have a reliable internet connection and an at home workstation setup
